Deji of Akure becomes Ondo council of Obas’ chairman

The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has approved the appointment of the Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi as the chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas.This was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Richard Olatunde, on Tuesday.
According to the statement, Oba Aladelusi’s appointment follows the expiration of the two-year single term tenure of the immediate past Chairman of the council, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan, who is the Olugbo of Ugboland.
The statement read, “The tenure of the new chairman starts today (Tuesday), 14th September 2021.
“Governor Akeredolu appreciates the council under the leadership of the former chairman, the Olugbo of Ugboland, who did excellently well and gave all necessary support to ensure that the good people of Ondo State enjoy good governance.The governor charged the new chairman to improve on the record of his predecessor by working in harmony with his brother Obas and the government in ensuring the development of the state.
